Freelance Writer

            Mental Health & Technology

I’m a lifelong writer, reader, and psychology enthusiast, with a decade of corporate experience in technology, finance, retail, and research in the US (Fortune 100), Canada, and Asia.

I’m a coach-in-training with the Adler Graduate Professional School. Every week, I volunteer as a crisis line responder as the Toronto Distress Center, assisting distressed callers and intervening in suicide attempts.

During the day, I work as a Robotics Process Automation (RPA) Delivery Manager for the Enterprise Data & Artificial Intelligence team at one of the top-five financial institutions in Toronto.

I have a Bachelors in Statistics and Computer Science from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Masters in Business Administration from Willamette University, USA. I have also taken creative nonfiction and fiction writing classes at Literary Arts and Attic Institute in Portland, Oregon to improve my craft.

On weekends and public holidays, I can be seen taking long-winded walks and watching gorgeous sunsets. I love a raving party as well as a quiet reading in my extra long socks.

My first taste of publication came when I was a fifteen-year-old with an article titled ‘Freedom of School-going Children’ (Hint: I had strict parents growing up) that was published in a local women’s newspaper. Since then, I have been published in university magazines, national newspapers, and online publications.
